“Recovery coaching provides a constant source of support. It was tailored to me and my needs throughout my recovery. The face to face catch ups were a safe space where I could ask lots of questions, reflect on the week/s that had passed and plan some goals for the week ahead. The text support in between these sessions was what I found the most helpful. It was reaching out to someone who truly understands, judgement free, at the very moment I was engaging in ED behaviours who would talk me through it and would really get me thinking about why it was happening.”

“It’s that little bit of extra support that is needed when trying to recover. The understanding, knowledge and no judgement environment is without a doubt the best part of it all.”

“it is without a doubt the single most useful service and tool i have ever had in my (recovery and) life. For once i’m making changes.
I have far less anxiety around food, I am so much happier, I feel less guilt. yes, i’m not perfect and still have lots to work though but i know if i have a worry i can go straight to you.”

“I have become a better person through this process not just in recovery. Learning how to process distress has been pivotal in pushing myself to new stages of recovery.”

“I wish we’d known about this service sooner. Knowing some one is there that understands, it means so much, makes a world of difference and helped (her) through it”.

“I’ve never felt so heard or not alone in my struggles. It’s nice to be able to talk about what is going on and not feel embarrassed. I’ve never had a space before that feels so safe to do that”.
