FAQ
-
Do I need an eating disorder diagnosis?
No, a formal diagnosis is not required. If you're wanting support with disordered eating, body image concerns or food and exercise behaviours, our recovery coaching and peer support is something to explore. We focus on your specific challenges rather than working from a diagnosis.

-
How does Meal Support work?
Meal Support sessions provide real-time guidance during meals, helping you challenge fears, rules and/or rituals alongside staying accountable to your meal plan where applicable and can include developing post-meal coping strategies.
-
How long will I need to engage in coaching for?
Ahh the million dollar question.
There is no fixed timeline - some clients engage in short-term support, while others benefit from longer-term guidance. We are continually evaluating the helpfulness of support and remain open with active clients about the level of support and any changes that need to be made. One of our mantra’s is ‘meet you where you are at’ - sometimes that’s increasing frequency of sessions other times it might having a wee break. One of our favourite things is, eventually, catching up for a random coffee or receiving an email to hear about how little you’ve thought about your struggles since finishing up support! yay!

Payment & Logistics
What are your fees, and do you offer payment plans?
Due to the flexibility and personalisation of our service, session pricing varies based on the type of support. We are transparent about costs and pricing options once the initial session allows us to identify together an appropriate support plan, where feasibility is considered. We offer payment plans upon request.
The initial session process + fees is outlined on our services page here.
Is recovery coaching covered by Medicare or private health insurance?
Currently, recovery coaching is not covered under Medicare or private health.

I’m nervous about reaching out. What should I do?
That’s completely understandable! Our approach is judgment-free and supportive. You’re welcome to book a Discovery Call to see if it feels like the right fit - no pressure, just a conversation. A chance to ask any more questions you have related to your circumstances and together work out if recovery coaching may be something useful to explore for where you are right now.
